Escrow Officer (in most States)
Person or organization with fiduciary responsibility to the
buyer and seller, lender and Title company to see that the financial transfers, title issues, and deadlines of the purchase/sale (or loan) are carried out.
Appraiser
Person whose responsibility is to issue a report that states an
estimate or opinion of value of property. Not all lenders accept all appraisers.
Insurance Agent
A professional who makes sure that fire, property, flood,
earthquake, and homeowner's insurance coverage is included in the purchase of the
property. You should have your insurance prepaid and ready a week before you "close" your loan or purchase.
Lender
The actual source for the funds used to create your loan. The Mortgage Broker "packages" your credit information, income and proof of assets to suit the requirements of the Lender offering the best rate & terms for your current & future portfolio.
